It's September now. Those of us who dislike the heat have suffered long enough! Where is the wind and rain???

Don't want wind and rain, but autumn has definitely started her in S Herts. Sun much less hot - not much today-. Yesterday was lovely and fresh. Had enough of the suffocating humid/close air and hope it's gone for good. Just got the wasps and gnats to contend with now.

Well, heatwave returns this week in SE. 30 degrees expected by Friday. Despite being only 12 degrees last night. No breeze yet so hope it develops later in the afternoon.
Last evening at 6 the breeze had disappeared and was back to being too close for me.

It's autumnal in the north! Hot but the wind is colder and the trees plants/trees are changing. It won't be long till were freezing and wet again Hmm. I've loved my summer this year!

We had a steamy suffocating, airlesss, humid heat in the SE. I was begging for a cool refreshing breeze .

It was my perfect sort of day yesterday in Hampshire, bright sunshine, low 20s, breezy, didn't feel humid at all. Hated the weather we had in July.

There is definitely much cooler air in the mornings and evenings now (I'm in Essex).

Weather app is predicting 18C and rain for my day off in Friday Sad I love the summer, it's been a great one and I am sad it is finishing tbh!

Well, schools go back this week, so expect a blast of late summer sun.

It might change at the end of the week.

The scent of the changing season has been in the air here in South Wales for a couple of weeks, obviously particularly noticeable in the early mornings and late evening.

It seems really special after a summer where we have actually seen the sun and been able to eat outside. We had post-dinner cuppa in the garden with candles last night (too many wasps to eat outside!)

I love crisp, cold, DRY weather but hate with a passion constant grey and rainy days. I have had so many soakings I can't bear it now.

My son and grandson are coming to visit at the weekend so I hope the rain doesn't get here!

I like crisp autumn days, sunshine but cooler than summer. I am already missing the long, light evenings though, it seems to get dark so early now.

Why would you wish to bring it on? Very odd.

Nice and bright this morning already from 6am. Sleeping longer as dawn is later. Remember it being light at 4am - not that I got up then.
Took dog for walk at 6.30 and sun already shining.
Yesterday clouded over but was pleasant at 6pm. Did get to 25 in the shade.

26.4C already here (Leicester)
A taste of summer for a few days before it looks like autumn hits on Friday!
