Cold winter 2013/14?

I've seen a few bits around, but I am not sure I believe them. Is there anything likely in this?

I'm afraid I don't do seasonal forecasting. Even the met office with their multimillion pound supercomputers usually don't get it right.
I think that perhaps weatherlore used to have something in it, but with climate change there just isnt the predictability now, winters seesaw from one extreme to another.

Thanks. I suspected as much. Still they need the headlines.

(tho I am a sucker for watching weather forecasts, so I will always look)
