Getting really really fed up with it now. I actually think it's partly to cause for my depresion coming back, I am feeling so down ATM.
I get soaked twice a day walking midnees to school. I ahve 3 airers ful of wet washing all over the house, the heating on to dry it all, and muddy dog pawprints everywhere.

I want someone to turn the tap off please Grin

Oooh Saltire I was about to start the same thread. It's pitch black here and pouring down again.

Are you North of the Border, Saltire? If so, you may be in luck after today. It looks like for a few days the south will be getting the rain and the north staying dry.

That is so unfair Grimma. Sad I am in the south middle. Grin

Some relief is in sight ( though I would take this with a good degree of uncertainty) it does look like high pressure will build up mid week next week. It won't be warm, but at least much more settled. Massive uncertainty over how well the high pressure will last. GFS has it collapsing pretty quickly, but I'm not so sure about that.

Badkitten, you directed me here and now I see that there's no end in sight, I am going to have a huge toddler style tantrum now!

Be grateful we're in the middle of the worst drought for donkey's years, or you'd be up to your neck in it. Grin

Two more weeks?? Our village road flooded today.

At least it's not school holidays

I'm so sorry all. It's cruel of me I know. Worst thing is, the models I can look at only go out to two weeks. It's partly down to a bastard high pressure over Greenland that won't bugger off.

So miserable. DS1 has plaster casts on his legs for next 3 weeks so we literally cannot even go out to splash in muddy puddles :(

Report
Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/04/2012 13:48

Mrsjamin, that is really rotten :(

Ugh, its miserable. I no longer have lawn, but I do have a pond. Sunshine tomorrow though I hear!

It's brightened up in Reading, does that mean the worst of it is over, or it is still to come? Planning on getting lots of washing out tomorrow while I can!

I am getting really scunnered with it now. have had enough.

I have no dry coat to put on as I have been out with the dog 3 times and they are all wet. The dog is soaking and clarted in mud, there are clothes trying to dry off everywhere.

No end in sight!

Do you think it is because I bought a bike?

I think I have jinxed the whole country!!

Collision - yes, that'll be it. You should let the water companies know, they might wish to reward you.

The alternative hypothesis is that the unseasonal spate of premature BBQs last month have made the rain gods particularly benificent. When will people realise that their burnt offerings have this result?

I was about to start a similar thread too. Saltire I totally agree about the depression, wet grim weather like this literally sends me downhill.

Building an ark would involve getting wet again (sob!), so I'm going to hibernate instead as much as I possibly can. Sad

I really can't be arsed to build an ark. Can I hop aboard one of yours? Please?

Another person who doesn't cope with the rain; it makes my anxiety bad. It's been so windy here today too, and I cope even worse with wind. Have hunkered down under my duvet and watched LOTR but it would be really nice to have one calm, quiet day so I can build myself up a bit again.

Knock me down with a feather, after two solid weeks of rain including the last 24hrs straight, we currently have an actual blue sky?

Presumably only for an hour or so though?

Ohyoubadbadkitten · 29/04/2012 18:12

It is entirely my fault. I knew I was running the risk of the weather turning into one giant monsoon when I was typing all my drought doom posts.

I'm actually getting a bit concerned about May....... I really hope that gfs is wrong.
