Could see some unexpected snow tonight. Unsure of details of exactly where and how much. You just might have a nice surprise/horrible shock

In the meantime, theres a lovely band stretching from Cardiff down the Cornwall (would be interested in reports)

I hope you don't feel all sad and deflated tomorrow. Perhaps I should have left it as a nice surprise!?

Well we have some. But it's a bit wet and isn't settling.

But I am still hopeful.

Ohyoubadbad, I am mid Devon. Near Okehampton. I'm supposed to be going out tomorrow night and my parents are driving over to babysit. They'd have to drive back at midnight on Sat night on v rural back roads. As will I obviously.

Am I being wussy thinking about cancelling or does your crystal ball show that I might be justified? Any more heading my way do you reckon? It's stopped snowing here but what fell is still on the ground.

No pressure Grin oh all-knowing one.

Sue, I'm not sure its one that you can really call until tomorrow. As you've seen today, little troughs and lows form very quickly in these conditions and give snow where it is not expected. When do you need to decide? (I can have another look in the morning :) )

Had a light dusting in Somerset. Stopped snowing at the moment.
Any chance we will get more? DD's were very excited tonight!

Don't think we have anything here in North Wilts but Dh has just gone to let the neighbours dog out so I will report accurately as soon as he is back!

Oh, no!

Quickly sticks in iPod earpieces and sings lalala.

Despite the fact that I hate flying and ships, cruising along a certain river in Egypt seems a good idea at the moment.

From a source at my local shop there's been snow in Andover, and now Meglet says there's been snow in Southampton. I'm in between those, and not liking it at all.

But keep the weather reports coming in. The Met Office can only report on the large scale; but it's the small scale where we can bring in our own personal knowledge and share that.

It was coming down quite quickly in Bournemouth for about the last hour. It hasn't stuck though and has stopped already Sad

That is one cool sweatshirt!!

The snow is sitting right on the edge the coast in the south teasing us. It is so mean!

But.... we get another chance tonight - hooray!!!!

huggly is exactly right.

A few feeble flakes have started here in Swindon.

Report
SuePurblybiltByElves · 27/11/2010 09:48

No new flakes here but a hard, hard frost. Grey soft skies so maybe more.

Actually, I lied. It has been snowing but tiny wee flakes. Still, it all helps Grin

SuePurblybiltByElve - My parents live in Okehampton! DM is supposed to be visiting us in Surrey on Monday.... oh dear!

Roads are OK cece, the main ones are fine. I'm 10 miles or so away so they could be thawed, Devon is funny that way Smile

Still nothing here, and although the temperature was below zero from about 6 pm yesterday to around 11 am today we had no frost, not even on the cars.

That band of cloud running along the south coast seems to be edging onshore.

My order of snow/ice grabbers for my boots arrived today, so if we do get icy conditions I might be able to get safely down the road to the convenience store without slipping over. As I'm now officially a little old lady, I don't want to find out how well I bounce! Grin
