For the past 2 weeks ive been giving him the v basic of foods, Carrot batons, Parsnip, Banana, Toast etc

But he throws it back (sick) and the whole days feed...

I know its early days but he's ready for food and gulps it down on a spoon, WWYD?

I keep offering whole but its not great when all comes back up...

Thanks

Does it matter to the baby whether you do BLW = gets no food, or spoon fed= gets food. Up to you, nobody is going to look at your child in a couple of years time saying ooh you can tell he was BLW.

Some children hate being spoon fed, others don't like feeding themselves. Listen to the baby thats what BLW is all about or should be about.

You could just give him milk of course and forget about food. Up to you.

Most people do a mix of purees and finger food. Although if my 7 month old was sick each time he had finger food I would just stick to purees.

DS1 hated feeding himself - he would happily eat if spoon fed though but only things that were not too textured He eventually got round to feeding himself at some point in the past 3 and a half years and now has a balanced diet of proper solid foods.

DS2 - 8 months - loves food and insists on feeding himself. Will only eat proper food - throws purees off the table.

Different babies and totally different personalities. I'd say go with the flow with your little one and spoonfeed them - at some point they will start grabbing the spoon and wanting to feed themsel any way.
