Just put something in front of him and see what he does. That's the nice thing about letting him lead the way - less fuss, and he can eat almost anything you eat. At this age you don't need to bother with purees.
Or try sticks of broccoli or fingers of roasted veg - squash, sweet potato, aubergine. All big hits with my 6 mo DD. Just put on tray and let her get on with it and DH and I eat the rest for our dinner. Or nectarine and pear slices are v popular too. Good luck!
