Ok on 3rd baby so probaly should know, Especialy as dd2 is only 2 but i have completely forgotton or blocked it out as i hate doing it.

DD1 weaned on to purees, but she hated all food and had/has a strong gag reflex.

DD2 just started eating anything and every thing she could get her hands on.

DS is 6mths today and seems to be mixture of both. for the last couple of weeks i have been given him the odd bit of puree, but he doesn't seem that fussed.

So where do i start. Or does someone want to do it for me grin.

Just put something in front of him and see what he does. That's the nice thing about letting him lead the way - less fuss, and he can eat almost anything you eat. At this age you don't need to bother with purees.

I meant something solid that he can hold, like a finger of toast, or a cucumber stick.

Or try sticks of broccoli or fingers of roasted veg - squash, sweet potato, aubergine. All big hits with my 6 mo DD. Just put on tray and let her get on with it and DH and I eat the rest for our dinner. Or nectarine and pear slices are v popular too. Good luck!

Thanks Drcosy.

I'll pop to the shop tonight to pick up some bits.

I see no one offering to do it for me grin.

I just started from 6 months giving ds bits off my plate.

I tend to eat when DH is home from work which tends to be after dc are in bed.

Mind you with dd2 as well ds i never end up with anything to eat[grin'.
