Hello

My baby is 23 weeks old & breast fed..she weighed 7lb 5 at birth & is now 16lb.
She has been acting hungrey after feeds & extreemly interested in foods when we eat.
so on advice of a health visitor I started to wean her yesterday.
I started at 11am ..with breast milk mixed with baby rice.. she loved it.. took to it straight away. I did 2 teaspoons of dry rice & mixed with about 1.5ounces of breast milk.... she ate it all happily..
I did the same again today.. again she loved it.. & actually looked like she wanted more (puling the spoon to her mouth)??

I am wondering if it is too early to give this to her at 5pm also?? as she seems unsettled the last few days??could be hunger?could be teeth? (she cut her first tooth last week)

I'm no expert, but from the leaflet I was given by my hv it says to do one meal a day for the first week, then go to 2. But others may have different info. Good that she has taken to it.

Yes that's what I did - one meal for a week (about eleven thirty) and then the following week started to give her breakfast. Have done this for nearly two weeks now and wondering what to do next!
