When to wean your baby onto solid food? And how to do it? Read (purée-splattered) tips from other Mumsnetters
Am going to Tesco in a mo and am going to get some fresh soup for me - and was going to give some to DS2 for lunch aswell. But am now worried about the salt content - is supermarket soup likely to have too much salt for a 9-month old?
I'd say probably, yes. But also not sure if stilton in a soup is the right thing for a 9 mo - would they like the taste???
it is bloody saltyTesco website says 1.3g salt / portionFSA website says no more than 1g a day from 7-12mso if he has (say) half a portion, that is nearly all his day's allowance of saltso if he has no biscuits, processed cereals, cheese, bread or anything else with salt in today then you are probably okI'd make him scrambled eggs instead
Thank you for the info - that is what I thought but was hoping otherwise as it would be easier to give him what I was having!
