Please help 7mth old not at all interested in lumpy food.I've tried diffrent textures such as mashed bannana and mashed potato but he just starts to gag and then vommits everything back up which upsets him. Should i wait until he's a bit older or perservere?

Perseverence worked with us, one day dd just ate it all up! With us the trick was getting something dd liked to eat a lot as mush and then making it more lumpy, but don't worry too much they all eat at their own rates, just keep offering it. (dd always ate at the same time as us/me, so wanted to eat the same!)

Ds used to do this at the same age, I think they just need to practice with it. Persevere I think!

smasher, I completely sympathise, read my thread CHOKING ON FINGER FOODS - i'm going through the same thing. If she has lumpier foods I get the vomit thing too - it's a complete bugger 'cos normally she does it at the end of a meal, just when you think she's full of really good nosh, and then in a flash, back comes your delicious homemade fish pie, usually all over you, the cat, and anything else in the vacinity.
