i really need to wean dd2, been putting it off because i can't be bothered, but i think she is ready (24 weeks). anyway, does anyone have a link to one of those meal planner thingies (like the one in the annabel karmel book, which i had for dd1 and i managed to lose...).

thanks!

Why do you need a meal planner for a baby this age? Can't you just give her some of what you're having? Either mashed a bit or as finger food, which ever you're happy with...?

well, for a srtart i want to introduce one food at a time as there is a history of allergies in the family. secondly i doubt that what i eat (mostly salads and sandwiches) is acceptable food for a baby. thirdly i just want to have an indication of how quickly to move from one to two to three meals a day, what to do re milk etc, and what foods i should avoid till when.

you'd think i'd know it all from dd1- well, i don't remember ANYTHING!

I agree with Marla. You can still introduce foods on at a time without a meal planner!

You give as much milk as and when she wants it. You offer food whenever you remember - basically stick to fruit and veg until 26 weeks then you can give what you like except honey IIRC. In your case if there are specific allergies it might be best to withold some things until a bit later but I have no personal experience of this. It doesn't really matter what's "suitable" - food is just a novel game for the first few months anyway, what she actually eats is pretty irrelevant.

Try Aitch's site - the forum is full of weaning pros.

When I say "suitable" I mean your reference to salads and sandwiches being not suitable - they're perfectly fine to give babies

thanks. i am not really suer about BLW tbh, i know it's great and all but i am not sure it's for me tbh.. thanks anyway.

You don't have to do the BLW stuff though - there will be plenty of ideas for foods there, you can just puree them!
