my lo 7mo old has dropped milk feed since i started weaning. she breast feed most of the time in a day so i hardly can make out how much she's taking i give her a bottle at bedtime which she takes 4oz or sometimes 6oz another bottle is at 1am which she takes the same . she breastfeeds the first thing in morning then midmorning & sometimes in midafternoon but thats not always the same. i'm worried if she's getting wnough milk. can i give her fromage frais or flavoured yogurt as she hates natural yogurt & her formula milk if i give her that with her cereals.

She sounds like she is getting enough. 3 BFs and 2 bottles of formula of 4/6oz is quite alot. If she was hungry you would hear all about it I am sure

How much food does she have? Try using expressed BM in cereal. I used to express into a bottle then put it in ice cube trays and freeze it. You can just use one or two cubes warmed slightly and add to porridge or weetabix etc. Once she was used to eating that I went onto cows milk in cereal at 9m. I think you can give it as a food i.e with cereal from 6m but I was introducing all new foods very slowly because of allergy risks in our family.

As for yoghurts try mixing pureed apple etc with plain yoghurt. It sweetens it without adding all the additives you get in many of the fromage frais. DD was sick on Petit Filous and has only just started eating other brands of fromage frais and she just 2yrs.
