Hi, dd was born the same day!
Was planning to wait til 26 weeks but she had other ideas.
We have started a mix of mushes and finger foods, e.g.she might have a mashed banana followed by a broccoli floret and stick of cucumber (her two favourite things)

If your ds can pick food up and chew and swallow it then he can BLW.

Good luck

is a couple of weeks really too long to wait?

toast not good before 6 months. you should aim for gluten free

put some finger food on a tray, if he can sit unaided, has lost the tongue thrust reflex and can picl up food, get it to his mouth and chew and swallow, he is most likely ready for food.

milk is still the main source of nutrition

You could put some suitably shaped veg in front of him and see what happens. See 25 week old Archie enjoying his broccoli.

i love the "oh my god oh my god he's just put the whole fucking lot in his mouth" grin

and "have we cleaned that tray?" "no" "we haven't even wiped it"

and then you go along and just give him broccoli off the floor.

absolutely love it!that's my kind of parenting!!

i must say will someone own up to this one cos it had me in stitches!
