Was sat in a cafe this morning having a drink and there was a couple with a baby (approx 8 or 9 months - am rubbish at guessing the age of babies)
Anyway, the mum was feeding the baby a banana by pinching bits of the banana off and putting them in the baby's mouth - but when I say bits, I mean the smallest possible bits you can get off a banana - so it was pretty much like a dot of mush on her finger.
No surprises that it took a LONG time for them to finish! Surely if you wanted to mash it, it would have been easier to get a fork and a bowl from the counter and mash it up in that.
I am sure DS was eating chunks of banana by that age - I think he would have gone mad at me had I tried to give him such tiny tiny bits one at a time and just grabbed the banana off me and shoved it in his gob
