Hi, I currently give my 9 month DS a protein dish at lunchtime eg, fish, chicken, red meat, eggs. I then give him a veggie option at dinner time eg, veggie pasta, tomato and rice etc... I think I read somewhere that they should only have one protein portion a day but is that true? Could I give him protein type meals at both lunch and dinner? I'd be interested to hear what you all do, thanks.
Sometimes my lo's have protein at both meals and sometimes just at lunch or dinner.

Offer these at one or two meals each day. They include meat, fish, eggs, nuts and pulses. Pulses are foods like kidney beans, chickpeas, hummus, lentils and dhal. Offer soft, tender cuts of meat as some toddlers find hard chewy meats challenging. Choose good quality sausages, meatballs and burgers that have a high lean meat content and a low sodium content - they are popular and nutritious for toddlers.
Vegetarians who are not eating meat should have some pulses, eggs, nuts or beans at two or three meals each day in order to get enough iron.
