I'm doing a stew tonight for us and DH and I have kidney beans in ours, can DD (8mo) have kidney beans or shall I do a separate pan of stew for DD?

TIA

if he can have baked beans then he can have kidney beans. are they properly soft? i find here the ones in the tins are a little too firm for my liking. If firmish, smush them a bit with a fork so that they are not swallowed whole.

you may not need to smush them, if he can pick them up by himself then he should be able to eat them. presumably you'll be cooking them so that they're soft inside, yes?

kidney beans are fine.

i would only smush them enough to break the skins otherwise they may pass through him whole?

oh, gotcha. lol, mine never make it through the cooking process without getting a bit battered anyway...

Thanks, Yes I will be cooking them. I usually put a drained tin of kidney beans in the stew. DD will literally eat anything but I was unsure if she could have them.

Thank you all.
