Looking for new inspiration - mashed, pureed or BLW fingerfood ideas all appreciated.....
DS very unimpressed with my ideas so far -to be honest I can't blame him, I am lacking inspiration!
Thanks
GG

fruit? melon is yum, and pineapple. porridge, natch, but proper stuff that will coat your insides. raisin wheats? toast? a sandwich? cheese and oatcakes? (can you tell that my dd talks now and gets what she wants... today, three bananas, some strawberries, two apricots and some fruit and fibre. then cheese and oatcakes. it was nearly time for lunch by the time she'd finished. i think it's a growth spurt. ) when dd was young she often got leftovers from dh's and my meal the night before, either for breakfast or lunch. apparently in japan people have sushi at breakfast, oh god i'd LOVE that.

Shreddies/malties
toast marmite/peanut butter (allergies allowing)
cheerios/ multigrain hoops
mini shredded wheat
ds2 is devout self feeder so along with eggy bread st weekends this forms breakfast. Often 2-3 of these things as his appetite is huge!

Wow, thanks to all!
V impressed and hoping DS will be too - especially with the various toast ideas - don't know why I did not think of that! Ditto sandwiches.
He does not seem v interested in weetabix or porridge which is what I usually try.
Maybe he is just like your DD Aitch - mmmm ........
New plan:
Try new yummy bfast ideas (might start with eggy bread tomorrow) but will try and resolve to be a bit more chilled if he does not gum them all down with gusto!

DS1 still adored eggy bread, he's 21mths now.

Cheese on toast?

Scrambled eggs with toast. I gave pittas / bagels for a change too.

He liked ready brek at that age too, and bananas.

Can't wait to start feeding DS2 all manner of things, but got 3 more weeks to wait before gluten / eggs / dairy.

Like Aich we didn't do breakfast at this age. His early morning feed was enough for him for a few months. He had a growth spurt at 10 months so started having a bit of quinoa porridge & fruit but after a couple of weeks he stopped needing it & went back to just having lunch & supper.

my ds loves toasted bagels, maybe cos they turn to mush so quickly. I put some philly on them and maybe a smear of jam. Just be careful about untoasted bagels, they turn in to a million crumbs in a nanosecond!

I do weetabix with milk, banana and blueberries. Just whack it in the microwave and then fork it through to desired wotsit.
