Title says it all really. DS (7 months)is loving his food and has breakfast at 8ish, lunch at 12 or 1pm depending on nap and has been having his tea with us at 5pm but I think that as he goes to bed at 6ish he should be having an earlier tea to try and get more breastfeeds in before bed.?? He has always been a shocking sleeper but is currently snacking 2 hourly through the night at Mums all night milk bar!

DD is 10 months, we do -

3am BF
6am BF
9am Breakfast
10.30am BF
11.30am Snacks
12.30pm Lunch
2pm Snacks
3pm BF or Snack
5.15pm Dinner
6.30pm BF
6.50pm BF

She's asleep by 7 pm.

I was in the same boat as you, dd was an all night drinker, but it's slowly got better. I find doing two bf's before bed helps, I started off by giving her one before her bath and then one after. Now she has her bath at 6pm, feed at 6.30, followed by some calm playing and a story, then I feed her to sleep just before 7.

I know how hard it is to be awake all night, it makes even the simplest things difficult.

Good Luck

DS3 (8 months) had his breakfast (a whole wheetabix! - should have been half but I was half asleep didn't realise what I'd done until it was too late -but he finished it) at 5.30am this morning, 6oz of milk at 6.15

Has had a couple of breadsticks between then and 9.30 - when he had another 7oz of milk.

Woke up 1/2hr ago (12) and has had a piece of cheese (and another breadstick ) about to go and offer him banana

Will have more milk sometime between 2-4pm (8oz probably).

Dinner around 6ish and another milk (8oz) at 8pm before bed.

Tomorrow could be almost similar, or completely different

DS is 7 months. His meal times are usually:

7.30 milk
8.30 breakfast
11.30 milk
12.15 lunch
3.30 milk
5 tea
6.30 milk
7 bed

He doesn't have milk at night (luckily). His last milk feed isn't massive, but he eats well at mealtimes so that must fill him up.

Could it be more habit than hunger for your DS especially as you say he's snacking at night? I wouldn't have thought tweaking teatime will stop the night-wakings. Does he get enough milk in the day? I used to do as sushipaws suggests with DD where we fed before and after bath.
