7mth old son having milk approx 8am, 12noon, 4pm then 7pm bedtime. also having small amount of solids for breakfast lunch and tea.
i was waking him up for dreamfeed but last night he only took about 2 oz so gave up and he slept thru til 7.30 this morning.
should i drop it? and just give it if he wakes? or?
he has 7 or 8 oz milk at every feed. had half weetabix for breakfast and veg purees for lunch and tea. (about 3 icecube lumps generally)

I have no answer to this... I dropped the dreamfeed at around 6 and half months (when she was on 3 solid meals a day) and we have just reinstated it after having a few weeks of 4-5 am waking for food BUT she only has 3 other milk feeds in the day time (9am, 2pm, 7.30pm).

When we stopped it, we just reduced the amount of milk we gave over the course of a couple of weeks. She was fine for about 3 weeks, then started waking again (and only milk would get her back to sleep)

Feel like we're going backwards - but at least she's started sleeping through again

ds is still having his dreamfeed around 11.00-11.30pm ish, occasionally he wakes for it but other than that he sleeps through till 7am! We are about to start weaning in the next couple of weeks, (he's 5.5 months) so was wondering at what point/how much food they need to be on before you can stop sneaking in that dreamfeed....will be interested to hear others' experiences.

We dropped the dreamfeed a few weeks ago, DS is 7.5 mo. He refused it a couple of times in a row and was distressed at being woken up - clearly would have been better left, so we dropped it, no problems since.

He has a lot of milk during the day, usually 5 milk feeds, although I think he's about to drop one of them, and he's on 3 solid meals a day as well, BLW though.

In terms of how much solids he has, he has a whole slice of toast for breakfast, a bit of cheese, fruit and roll for lunch and vegetables mainly for his tea.

He sounds like a good eater FBB! That's about the same as me!

ds 'sleeps' through his dreamfeed, I would have tried dropping it before now but he did wake a couple of times recently about 11pm. So decided that prob best thing would be to wait until he's on proper grub.

My daughter is nearly 7mths and has milk about the same times as you madeindevon.

The only time I give her a dream feed now is if she doesn't drink all her milk during the day. She gets solids twice a day.
