How many meals for a 16m old?

Currently LO has breakfast, lunch and dinner. At around 7am, 12 noon and 4ish. She goes to bed at 7.

Should I give her supper? I never know what to give her at that time really as she has her tea at 4. On nursery days she has a yoghurt at around 5 as well as has tea really early, around 3.30.

What do others do?

dd is 18 months.

breakfast 8am
lunch 11.30am
snack 2.30pm
tea 4.30pm

on nursery days she has tea around 3.30pm, then she just has cinammon toast or apple toast when she gets home at around 5.

bedtime is 6.30pm

she goes to nursery two afternoons a week.

I give DD a couple of Farleys Rusks mixed with hot milk for supper but my LO has the same routine as seona1973. Try that or some milk. Wouldn't give anything heavy.

Thanks.

On non-nursery days she has;

Brek - Rice krispies or weetabix or a yoghurt and piece of toast.

Lunch - pasta and tom sauce or similar and a yoghurt.

Tea - beans on toast or something similar.

In between has the odd biscuit, piece of toast, banana or bit of my sandwich! She is quite a fussy eater and I have to hide veg in her food. She won't eat much fruit. She would live off yoghurt though.

She also still breastfeeds about 3 times a day if that's relevant.

Does it seem enough?

My DS is same age and that sounds about right, 2 or 3 bf a day too. I don't think introducing another meal too close to bedtime would be a good idea, I like to give DS a chance to digest a little before going to sleep

Sounds more than enough to me. Stop worrying! You'll soon know if she's hungry
