Lentils for 7.5 month old?

.....who is stuffed up.

Advice online is conflicting. Some say 6 months some say 8 due to risk of choking (lentil getting lodged I think?)

They’re fine! You can cook them till they’re mush anyway, I can’t see how a baby could ever choke on them. Dd was eating steak at that age and never had an issue.

Have you done a paediatric first aid course? It’s worth knowing, especially when weaning so you’re confidant in feeding baby.

This is also a good little reminder of gagging vs choking:

Agree with PP re

  1. it’s mush, so fine
  2. worth doing a baby 1st aid course

My baby had lentils from 6/7 months old. She was fine :)

Get some prune pouches.

Also, I always give smaller spoonfuls when the baby has a blocked nose.

Oh wait, stuffed up as I’m constipated? Thought you meant as in a cold, sorry!

Even cheaper than prune pouches - just blend some prunes with a little water, into a paste.
