So my DS is now 13 months old and this is his daily feeding routine

On waking- 7oz Bottle of full fat cows milk

Around 8am- Breakfast
(Weetabix, Toast, Muesli, Fruit,
Porridge and yoghurt)

Around 10am- Snack
(Rice cakes, fruit, Ella's
Kitchen crisps)

12.30-1.30- Lunch
(Pasta, sandwich, toast, eggs)

Around 3pm- Snack

5-5.30pm- Dinner
(Roast Dinner, Cottage Pie, Fish,
Curry and rice, Risotto)

7.15-7.45pm- 7oz Bottle of full fat cows milk

I'm thinking it's time to scrap the morning bottle and give him a cup of milk with his breakfast instead, I'd like to keep the bedtime bottle for a bit longer as he does really enjoy having a bottle and a cuddle at bedtime as part of his routine when reading a story. What age did you take away the bottles? And does his routine sound about right?

We switched to a cup in the morning at about 12-13 months and then to a cup before bed at about 14 months. Most of the similar aged toddlers I know still have a bottle before bed.

Please tell me how you get your DS to eat?! My almost 11 month old will only eat: custard, yogurt, fromage frais, puréed fruit and rusk 😩

@polkadotpixie

I can't take all the credit for him being such a good little eater, he was only 2lb 9oz at birth as he was 7 weeks early. And he suffered terribly with constipation so in the end the doctor advised to wean early at 15 weeks as he thought the fruit and veg would help his Bowels which it did massively. I started just introducing broccoli at first, steamed then blended and just offered a few spoons of that once a day for a few days, then I introduced a few spoons of porridge in the mornings and every few days I would try something new so if he had a reaction we could easily work out what it was causing it

He has a bit of a developmental delay so isn't the greatest at finger food so I just strip him to his nappy at meals times and let him make as much mess as he likes, it usually ends up mushed into his eyebrows. There really isn't any advice I can give I'm sorry as I've never found anything DS won't eat, I just got lucky I suppose and I had a lot of support from the HV team and the Neo Nurses who visited DS at home until he was 5 months
