Can I feed my 7 month old porridge made with cow's milk?

Says it all, really. We all just eat normal porridge made with milk, and it would be fantastic if I could get DD2 into the habit early on. (DD1 had a dairy allergy as an infant, so she had to be trained much later )

For what its worth, my HV said fine over 6 months to give cows milk in cooked food or cold in cereal etc. So porridge with cows milk should be fine.

Thanks for that. I've been feeding her loads of dairy for about 3 weeks now, and no signs yet of any allergy. Thank god - I really don't want to go down the soya route again!

goats milk is good if there is a mild cow's milk allergy - I tend to mix and match (G&C) for my DDs

I've given my DD (aged 6.5 months) cows milk on porridge and on weetabix in the last week - no sign of any allergies so far, she loves both cereals, sweetened with apple or pear.

cows milk is fine from 6 month in cooking, with cereal, etc as long as the main drink remains breast/formula milk.
