How much milk - formula vs cow

Apologies, as I'm sure it's been asked before but how much milk should 1 year old ds be having. Also, he is still on formula but obviously want him to change to cows milk but don't know best way to do it. He currently has 3 bottles of formula per day - should I cut this down to 2 bottles of formula and a cup of cows per day to introduce it gradually? Also when should he stop being on bottles all together and have all his drinks from a beaker? So sorry for rambling on and for all these question

he should still be having a pint a day. I was worried about switching to cow's milk, but I just did it one day and ds didn't even notice lol.

Well I tried to give him some in a cup and he just spat it out. The second time he just looked at the cup and threw it off his highchair. Thing is, he takes it in his cereal. Going to try agin tomorrow

You could try mixing the formula with a little cow's milk, then a little more each time until he gets used to it. Also it might be the cup he doesn't like rather than the milk, has he had one before? Advice is to stop using bottles after a year, but many people struggle with that, esp the night time drink. The 3yo next door still has a bottle!
Remember that if he's having milk in cereal (or anything else) that counts towards his pint.

12-20 oz (350-600mls) is considered ok from 1 year. I would start with cows milk in a bottle first so he can get used to the taste of cows milk in the same thing he had formula out of. I did one bottle at a time and let my dd's body adjust to the change too e.g. 1 bottle cows, 2 bottles formula for a few days then switch another one to cows milk. Once your lo is taking all cows milk then start offering one milk feed from the cup, etc.

My dd had only 2 bottles by 1 year and by using the above method she was taking her milk feeds from a lidded beaker by 14 months.

Thanks ladies

I tried him again today and he did take some from his cup - hurrah (he's used to using his cup so he's okay with that) Think I'll try doing that Seona, giving 1 bottle of formula and one of cows milk, seems a good way of switching over
