We always planned to do BLW. DS has been showing all the signs of weaning for a while - or so I thought.
Now I'm not sure whether or not he's lost his tongue thrust. If I touch his lips he tries to eat my finger.
He's also been launching himself at my food if he's been sat on my lap while I'm eating (faceplanting in a banana etc) but when we tried today (first time) he spat a lot out. Now I'm not sure if it's tongue thrust or just not liking the flavours.
He also seems to prefer me to hold certain foods and he uses his hands to bring my hand to his mouth (or brings his mouth to my hand ) rather than grabbing them himself - this seems to be true of more sticky/messy foods like banana.
Does it sound like he still has his tongue thrust? Should I hold off another week or so before trying again?
