Baby makes Mmmm sounds when eating?!

My LO is just over 6 Months Old and has taken to weaning so well he loves his food! We’ve been giving veggies and fruit purees for the last few weeks and he gets excited for his food.
While he’s eating though he’s started to moan/hum so he’s eating a mouthful and as he finishes it he’s going ‘Mmmnnnnnmmm’ loudly like he can’t get enough and it’s not coming quick enough!
Anyone else’s baby do this?

My one year old goes yum yum lol
Is he trying to tell you he wants more food?

It’s like a Mmmmm Mmmmm but he gets loud with it 😂 He’s did Irkutsk enjoying his food so maybe it’s his way of telling me to hurry up?!
Obviously he’s not old enough to say yum yum yet he just gets excited with it maybe he was hungry this morning and it wasn’t coming quick enough?!

I think you are correct NewMum. My daughter goes mmm mmm and waves her hands about when she’s impatient for something lol

DD does this, mostly with fruit or yogurt. She sometimes screws her face up and waves her hands too - if she is this excited about yogurt, chocolate is going to blow her mind! Grin

Both my kids do this.
Couldn’t believe it when 7 month old DD2, sitting on my kneee, stuffed a handful of spag Bol into her mouth and started humming along with her sister.
They are now 11 and 8, and the 11 year old only does it rarely, but the 8 year old still hums when her food is lovely.

My DS would say mmmmm! And his whole face & body would shake with excitement. It was the cutest thing. Now he's 2 and does a happy dance while he's waiting on his favourite foods.
