Porridge fingers made with almond milk or coconut milk.

Banana Pancakes.

Jus rol pastry is DF, so I like to make pies with that.

Violife or pure is a good replacement for butter in recipes.

How is he with things like spag Bol or cottage pie?

This Fish Pie is nice. You can replace the Quark in the mash for vitality or Oatley cream.

Does any of this help Smile

Thanks everyone, I'll try those pancakes tomorrow. Do you have a recipe for the porridge fingers please?

Fish pie is on my list of meals to make (not for me it's my worst nightmare Shock), he's had bolognese (not a big fan) not tried cottage pie yet.

Do you have any more snack/dessert ideas? I've found avocado chocolate pudding which I'm going to try.

Thanks for your help

How about Jan tarts made with the jus rol pastry? Holland & Barrett sell Wot No Dairy yoghurts made from pea protein. Banana ice-cream, baked banana or just mashed banana with or without alpro or oatly custard. Have you tried him with homemade lollies for pudding? Smile

Hummus and veg sticks are good. How about omelette? Sardines on toast are high in Omega 3 and calcium. Just check the bread for milk Smile

The recipe for Porridge Fingers is here. Which milk are you using in his food at the min? Smile

Rice pudding made with coconut milk was a big hit here! Also fruit crumble using margarine instead of butter. I made flapjack with margarine too (had a good recipe of you want it),

Has forgotten about the rice pudding Persis. Might stick one in the slow cooker before I go to work Smile

Porridge fingers - 1 tablespoon crushed berries (I use frozen in the microwave for thirty seconds), 2 tablespoons porridge oats, 3 tablespoons milk (I also use almond milk). Mix and put in a fault bottom dish. Microwave for two minutes.

I tend to x4 the ratios and often have to cook for longer to make them fingers rather than mush.

Banana pancakes? One banana, two eggs. Blitz and fry in coconut oil..
Egg muffins. Cook up some veg, loads of egg poured over in a muffin tin. Bake for twenty minutes. Still haven't perfected that one yet.

My Ds is cmpa but i also have a milk allergy so makes it easier

If he's dairy free just use regular recipes, but just use the dairy free options. Oatly is a good milk alternative (also soya free), if you want marg/butter stork marg in the gold bar is good for baking cakes etc and everyday we use vita-life I think it's called.
Annabelle karmel website is good for recipes, you can omit specific ingredients when searching for ideas.
Fruit/veg snacks are good so thinks like strawberrys, cucumber (although mine struggled to eat this till he was about 1), bannan, pear. Breadsticks with humous at good.

That's great, thanks for some brilliant ideas. I will be trying some if not all of them.

I find it hard enough trying to meal plan for a family of four without adding a dairy free weaning baby into the mix!!!

Some of you sound like you've been doing this for a good while now! I'm really hoping he grows out of it sooner rather than later.

He's having aptamil pepti 2 at the moment so I'm trying to make food with that as he can be a bit fussy with his bottles and the dietitian said it's best to get as much of it down him as I can!
