My son is 6 months old in a few weeks and I'm looking to introduce finger foods at that time. Anyone got any suggestions for good starter finger foods?

We started last week, so have have tried:

Red pepper slices (raw)
Tomato (raw)
Cucumber (raw)
Broccoli (cooked)
Chicken breast
Banana
Strawberry
Toast

By far the favourite was red pepper! She liked the chicken a lot too.
Good luck!

Porridge fingers. Make the porridge up with their normal milk and microwave it for a bit. Then cut into strips. Also banana is a favourite in our house!!!

Also pancakes and omelette are good!

This is all great, thank you. I didn't even realise you could give raw veg sticks!

Roasted courgette sticks, baby sweetcorn and sweet potato wedges are a hit with my DS.

This may be a silly question but is it ok to use cooking oil when roasting the veg?

Yep, oil is fine.

Sweet potato wedges, toast, toast with stuff on it - banana, avocado, cheese, really ripe pear, cooked carrot, sweetcorn fritters (small tin of sweetcorn, an egg, spoon of four, whizz up then fry in fritter size), pancakes, quiche.
