When to offer milk to 9 month blw'ner?

Weaning is going well and DD is eating breakfast and lunch but is not really interested in dinner. She has a bottle of formula first thing the morning, after her morning nap and after her afternoon nap and then I offer food approx 45 mins later. She refuses a bottle before bed but has another bottle of milk during the night.

I have considered not giving formula after her afternoon nap so she has dinner earlier and hopefully will take milk before bed so she sleeps through. She is always very upset when she wakes through the night for milk. What do you do/think? TIA

Not feeding at night is hard at this age because of the 9 month sleep regression.

What time is she having her bottle when she wakes from her afternoon nap? Just wondering about timings Smile

Her afternoon bottle currently is as late as 6.30 because she has pushed her nap back and then bed at 8.30.

I don't think it is a sleep regression thing as she is sleep fairly well (cuddled into me) except when she wakes up for milk.

Could you try a smaller bottle on waking from the afternoon nap or even a cup of milk with some food?

Sorry didn't really explain myself properly over the sleep regression. Did t really mean that she was having it, just that now might be a bad time to stop the night time bottle. You could get lucky though Smile

Thanks I don't want to stop going her milk during the night I would rather she did not ask for it.

Once a night is not bad compared to 4 bottles a couple of months ago. Should I be concerned that she does not want dinner?

I don't think you should be concerned at all, it's late and lots of babies are often too tired for dinner anyway Smile

I think I will continue to offer her milk then as there is still a while to go until 12 months.

Thank you
