Rash around mouth and on hands

Dd has been weaning for about 3 weeks, baby led (lazy parent and suborn child) and generally everything going fine.
However she has gradually developed a rash around her mouth and at various places on her hands (not her palms).
I'm not sure if it's an allergy to food or maybe to wet wipes (We've always used wet wipes for nappy change but not on her hands and face before weaning).
I've cut out food that I first noticed the rash after (strawberrys and rice cakes) but it hasn't gone (though it was the worst that day).
Any advice? My health visitor is very difficult to get in contact with!

I'd swap the baby wipes first and see if it clears

If it's sore looking could be signs of hand foot and mouth. Been going round where I live. Although had similar with my baby and turns out it's eggs he's allergic to. Strawberries are a common allergy too I think.

A friend gave us a set of cheeky wipes (like mini flannel squares) and they are brilliant for weaning. We just moisten them with warm water, wipe and then shove them through the wash for reuse.

Cheeky wipes are quite expensive to buy. We bought the cheap flannel towels from IKEA (25p each) and cut them in half to make small squares. Great if you are doing the baby led weaning too given the mess they make. Saves you using half a dozen wet wipes.

We also stopped using wipes as they were giving DD a rash on her face. We just use microfibres clothes, a new one every day or if they get particularly messy after a meal!

Definitely rule out hand foot and mouth first
