What are your one year old having for dinner?

I'm currently planning food shopping for the week but I'm running out of inspiration for dinners for dd1 (& us!). She often eats our dinner although a day later as she's in bed by the time we have dinner but I feel a bit in a rut. Last week she had:-

  • Salmon, cheesy mash and green veg
  • Lamb mince and cous cous
  • Spinach and chicken pasta with philadelphia
  • Fish fingers and chips

Typically DP and I have something along the lines of cottage pie/fish pie/spag bol/curry

What are you planning on feeding your toddlers?

Mine had slag book last night and fish pie the night before and loved them both. Just save a little of what you had in the fridge for dinner for the next day for them. Heat it up thoroughly then let it cool. Mines got sausage casserole with carrots tonight. Jacket potato with cheese tomorrow.

Slag book?! Spaghetti bolognese that should be Grin
And sorry, saw that you do save leftovers already.
I also do loads of fruit. She loves it and it's the right season for it.

Yes, she eats our fish pie/spag bol etc. In fact she had spag bol last night and will have fish pie tomorrow!

I've not given her Jacket potato for a while and sausage casserole sounds good.

I probably need to vary my meal repertoire (!) we had cauliflower lentil Dahl last night but dd turned her nose up at it this lunchtime

Thanks

If she turned her nose up, I wouldn't worry. Just assume she's not hungry and let her have something later, when she usually has something.
