Title says it really...
Did weaning improve signs of reflux?
Did it make baby worse, more unhappy?
Did you discover an intolerance to anything that caused the reflux?
When did you decide to wean, did the reflux influence this decision?

Thanks all Smile

hi,
Sometimes def.It helps.Introducing solids helps .My doctor says reflux is caused due to improper development of food canal towards stomach.Liquids quickly come out.Solids stay ...Once you start weaning you can see reflux is reduced a lot.
Still confirmation from doctor helps you
Take care
best of luck

I was advised to wean my ds at 17 weeks due to reflux. It helped so much he was like a different baby. I would check with a hcp first.

Didnt improve the reflux. Didn't make it worse. No intolerances. The only thing that made reflux better was getting older. Started giving food to eat at six months. Reflux baby one was nearly cured of reflux by 9-10 months and only occasionally vomited after that. Reflux baby two became a reflux toddler and I wouldn't consider 'cured' yet at 3. Still getting a lot of symptoms and residual sleep disturbances issues etc.
