Weaning

Does this sound about right for a 2 year old?

I'm worried I've lost my way a bit with what my two year old eats as she wants to eat like her older sister! This is what she will be eating today, does this sound ok for a 2 year old? She is milk intolerant by the way.

Breakfast: porridge with almond milk, pure apple juice diluted 1:3 with water
Snack: sugar free squash to drink and a banana and an apple to eat
Lunch: cucumber, red pepper, potatoes, ham, boiled egg salad. Raisins for pudding. Pure Apple juice diluted 1:3 to drink.
Snack: a rich tea biscuit and almond milk mixed with chocolate nesquick powder to drink
Dinner: jacket potato and baked beans, pouch of fruit purée, pure Apple juice diluted 1:3 to drink

To be honest it does look high in sugar, can you ditch the apple juice and nesquik? Fruit is high in sugar as well, especially the punches and dried fruit (raisins).

I would ditch the juice and the squash to be honest and probably the fruit pouch.
Breakfast and lunch sound good but I would do more veg with dinner, we tend to do mushrooms, courgette and tomato coked up together as a side for a jacket.

She won't drink water so I'm not sure what else to give her? She suffers from constipation so I like to make sure she drinks enough. Is sugar free squash better than the Apple juice?

I would only give the apple juice at one meal. I don't have an issue with the squash. You could try watering the apple juice down more and more until it is plain water.

It looks high in sugar to me. Mine is 2 and doesn't have the best diet in the world as she is having a fussy stage, her food for the day looks something like this:

Breakfast: Boiled egg and soldiers
Snack: blueberries and Greek yoghurt, breadsticks
Lunch: chicken wrap with cheese, red peppers, onion, garlic
Snack: a banana
Dinner: sausage, mash and veg (broccoli and carrots for example)

She drinks water or milk, the occasional squash (not sugar free) with a meal

Thank you, that is really helpful. I will try and think how I can adjust things for tomorrow. Does this look any better?

Breakfast: weatabix with oat milk, apple slices, very dilute pure Apple juice
Snack: banana and oat milk
Lunch: slice of ham, a boiled egg, cucumber slices, pepper slices, toast, melon and Very dilute Apple juice
Snack: rich tea biscuit and oat milk
Dinner: beef stew, soya yogurt and sugar free squash

It still feels quite sugary now I've read it back. I'm wondering what I can give after dinner apart from the soya yogurt or fruit purée? And in the afternoon instead of a biscuit?
