My 9mo is mainly baby-led, just occasionally we have helped her but primarily she's having what we're having and feeding herself and had been getting on reasonably well. About 3 weeks ago she really started to up her intake, to the point I posted elsewhere about how to prevent mastitis because she very quickly dropped milk feeds. Well I needn't have worried. About two weeks ago she developed a new habit - she still sucks and chews everything but then opens her mouth wide and spits it all back out. Her milk feeds have gone back up. The only stuff she doesn't do this with is very 'wet' food - yoghurt, soggy weetabix, etc. Sge has had a cough and cold although I think this started before the cold.
So - is it just a phase or is it to do with the cold? Do I just give her 'wet' food or do I just keep on offering the usual mix of stuff? I don't want to create bad habits, especially as we seemed to be doing pretty well.
It's driving me a bit mad, although am trying to hide it!
