Lunch ideas for 7 month old

Hi all

I have a 7 month old refluxer and I'm weaning using puréed veg/chicken etc for dinner. I've started to introduce finger foods slowly as it can involve a major puke-fest when she gags!!

Anyway, I'm thinking that I need to introduce a second meal a day. I've tried cereal etc for breakfast but she still seems quite full after her bottle. So I've started to give strips of toast, but she just sucks them and doesn't eat any yet!

So, I thought lunch would be a good way to introduce another meal. Should I be sticking with purée? Or can I introduce other foods? I'm clueless with weaning and stumped for ideas!!!

What do you fancy doing for lunch? Do you want to offer mashed/puréed or finger food? Have you had a look at the MN weaning recipes?

I wasn't sure tbh. She is point blank refusing breakfast apart from sucking some toast. So I wasn't sure whether to keep trying with the finger foods or give her some purée. Since giving her dinner, I've dropped one bottle feed (her 'decision'!!) and she's gradually taking less in the afternoon so I'm concerned that I'm not 'replacing' her appetite as such..

If she's dropping feeds, are you offering the meal roughly an hour after the milk?

Can you not give her breakfast before her morning bottle? DC has porridge and then a bottle a while after, wouldn't go near the porridge if it were the other way round.

Try a yoghurt for lunch or a small portion of puréed fruit.

Thank you!
I'm offering her food around an hour after milk. I guess I'm struggling with breakfast as she gets tired quite quickly in the morning.
A yoghurt and fruit is a great idea. Unfortunately I found out she's allergic to egg today Sad so I need to be extra careful with ingredients - arghhhh!!!!!!

Oh dear. Has she been allergy tested then?

Not yet. I have a hospital appointment this week for her eczema so I'll see if I can be referred once I'm there.
I also think she has an upper lip tie now! Goodness knows where to start with that! I'll pop into the HV tomorrow..
