Breakfast

My ds is 8 months old and after a slow start eating is going really well.

However, the only issue is breakfast! He won't eat toast ( wont even put it in his mouth) he wont eat porridge, or weetabix. He has a probable egg allergy so can't have them either!

At the moment he either has a yoghurt or banana but would really like some other options.

Any ideas, greatfully received!

Ds wouldn't eat weetabix etc but will eat ellas kitchen porridge. There is a couple but the one with strawberries is his favourite, he loves it. A friend has recommended shreddies but ds wasn't keen.
We have also tried eggy bread, toasted muffin, and crumpets.

Cheerios? They stick to the spoon nicely, and some own brand ones are pretty good re low salt / sugar levels

Or shreddies. Tesco own ones filled with fruit have only trace level of salt. I used to soften them slightly in milk and then give them to ds individually. He loved the blueberry ones.

DD loves puffed wheat. It is like sugar puffs but with nothing added, just wheat. They can go soft in milk and she likes to pick them up herself. Not all supermarkets do it but we can normally get in in sainsburys or Morrisons. Ellas kitchen and boots do baby versions of cheerios too. DD won't eat 'sloppy' breakfast.

Those mini shredded wheats are quite good for picking up when been softened a bit in milk. The fruit ones are nice too (though obviously sugar).
