DIY pouches

Has anyone tried these?

DIY pouches

Mainly we do BLW but 8mo DS loves a bit of a Ella's pouch action when we're out and can suck them straight from pouch with no help and more importantly no mess.

I don't mind really as almost everything else is fresh but that article on packaged food really put me off so I'd quite like to make my own and was thinking about getting this.

Any good or bad experiences?

Bump, anyone?

Maybe I'll just have to be the MN guinea pig...

We did mostly BLW, with a few pouches - Ella's / Plum and the yoghurts and fruit purees that come in pouches. I have been known to rinse out a pouch and refill! Either with a medicine syringe or by cutting off the bottom and resealing with a freezer clip. Those diy pouches only came on the market just as DD (definitely my last) was getting beyond that stage, or I would have given them a go.

I bought these www.littlegreenpouch.com/ from the US as my ds also loves eating directly from Ella's Kitchen pouches on the go. Which is fine though filling with your own seems much better, it's just the method of delivery that is great and no mess.

They have been really good, can pop them in the freezer, and clean well and handle cold water Milton sterilising. My only disaster was not blending out all the lumps with a beef casserole! Was squeezing it wondering why it was blocked and the zip up end opened under the pressure and sprayed me with casserole! So get it nice and smooth.

I tried the DIY pouch thing too but my efforts just ended in a mess. Just seen on my FB news though that there's now a //www.littlegreenpouch.co.uk so might give them a try. I'll avoid lumps though!

It's a bit expensive but have you seen this pouch filler that JoJo Maman Bebé sell? Like DIY but with a bit of help!
