Hi , over the last few months my dd has stopped eating meals at lunch and tea time . When we first starting weaning she would eat everything in sight but now only eat porridge , weetabix , yoghurt and malt loaf . She has a 4 oz bottle first and last thing at night and sometimes take milk at nursery due to the fact that she will refuse all meals presented , choosing only to
Munch on finger foods if she likes the look
Of them
Should I be worried.....

What do you do when she refuses food. What's her typical day like? Does she have any snacks? Is she well?

I'm having a similar problem with my Dd who is 13 months old. She has recently become very selective with her meals and I feel like we are stuck in a rut at the moment.

She is great at snacking on what she likes, scrambled egg, toast, potato cake, porridge fingers, melon, banana and sultanas but will spit out anything new that I try introducing.

She would previously take a meal fed from a spoon with meat and veggies but has decided that she no longer fancies this.

I'm sorry I have no practical advice just sympathetic understanding!! Ill be watching the thread with interest.

I have dropped my Dds afternoon bottle now so she only has 7oz for breakfast and at bedtime in the hope she will have more of an appetite at tea time.

I'm hoping that and MAJOR encouragement will improve things (she does love a reaction the little drama queen!!).

Hi thanks for your replies. She only has a 4oz bottle in the morning and one at bight . In between it's just snacky food , when she was younger we were able to feed her off the spoon with mash , cottage pie , mince , pasta, fish fingers but now she just spits it out .
