intolerance to milk? 1 year old

my one year old has switched from breast milk to formula around 11 months. Then since turning one I switched to whole milk. (about 14-18 oz) Her poo became runny and the diarrhoea continued. She also started spitting up and vomited twice. She also has excemza but its not too bad.

So I tried putting her back on formula and she is fine again. Normal poo and no spitting up. Does this mean she has an intolerance?

She seems fine with yoghurt or cheese...so I am not sure.

Anyone else experience this?

did you switch gradually or all at once? I'd try doing it a little bit at a time and see if she copes better with it. Formula is made from cows milk so it shouldnt be an intolerance to milk if she is ok with formula

I did it gradually...and the symptoms got gradually worse, coinciding with the more milk she had.

I know formula is milk based. And cheese is fine...

you could try keeping her on formula for a bit longer then and then try again in a few weeks. She doesnt need as much milk now she is 1 either as around 300mls is now sufficient.

My daughter didny agree fully with cows milk either struggled to poo so I just have her milk in her cereal and replaced it with other dairy and she's a lot happier with that and doesn't struggle but she 2 now.
