How do I get my 10mo to eat veggies?

Hi all, so my 10 month old has decided he doesn't want to eat anything off a spoon anymore and only wants finger food. Fine but he's not really into his veggies, apart from cucumber sticks and potato wedges. He's going great guns eating homemade fish fingers, chicken goujons, homemade pizza etc.. but how can I make veggies more appealing? I'm reluctant to 'hide' them in recipes as I want him to know and recognise veggies. I tried steaming some courgette so that he might think it was cucumber but I didn't fool him. I've tried sweet potato wedges, butternut squash cubes, steamed carrot sticks, peas etc.. He either doesn't touch them at all or puts them in his mouth and then spits them straight out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Just keep presenting him with veg finger food, broccoli and cauliflower florets, peas, corn, carrot sticks and all the other things you do.

When he does try something don't make a big deal out of it, if you are all 'good boy for eating your veg' he will think there is something wrong with it!

Do you eat at the same time and the same foods?

I put some food on his tray to start him off and I have the rest on a plate which we share. I let him take what he wants and I make a point of eating the veggies in front of him. He watched me eating broccoli florets the other day and then picked one up, waved it around a bit and then threw it over his head! I do tend to say 'good boy' a lot so maybe I should curb that.

Just good boy for whatever he eats ! Try not to make an issue out of food, make it something fun and try not to get too anxious if he doesn't eat it.

Keep giving him all those foods, it can take a while for them to get used to new foods
