When to wean your baby onto solid food? And how to do it? Read (purée-splattered) tips from other Mumsnetters
If you want to store foods or make purée up in advance for your LO, do you need to sterilise the pots you are storing the food in? I know its a stupid question but I don't want to do it wrong! Thanks!
I don't sterilise the food pots, I put them in the dishwasher so they get very hot and then rinse them afterwards. Maybe if you are weaning early i.e. 4 months I might have sterilised them.
Not weaning early, DD is a week shy of 6 months. I can't sterilise the blender or utensils so I'm thinking where's the point in sterilising the pots anyway?! Perhaps there's my answer!
I suspect that freezing them is going to kill off any bugs too anyway. I think at 6 months they need to start building their immunity.
