DD is 7 mo and we started out very enthusiastic about BLW (a lot of that was because of positive threads on MN and very pro BLW HV team)
Then I completely lost confidence. We had a couple of gagging (not choking) incidents which were quite alarming. I'm not much of a cook and found it really hard to plan "baby friendly" meals. I'm also vegetarian so was stressing about cooking meat right and was worried about how much she was (or wasn't) eating.
So I got myself really stressed and as a result started doing more traditional weaning - mush and finger foods - steamed veg, toast, fruit etc.
Felt a bit sad about it as she obviously loves feeding herself but is quite happy being spoon fed too.
Anyway to get to the point, we went to my parents today and my mum had made spaghetti bolognese and done a no salt portion for DD. I just put it on her highchair to see what she would do and she ate loads and absolutely loved it (minimal gagging too!)
It was fantastic and has really made me want to do BLW properly.
Sorry for ramble - I just really wanted to share this because I was so exicited and DP is sick of hearing me go on about how well she did!
If anyone has any meals that work well with BLW I would love to hear them and any success stories to help me keep the faith
