Have been weaning dd (27 weeks) for the last 10 days. I've given purees of apple, carrot, sweet potato and parsnip. While dd doesn't turn away from food she will allow it in her mouthand has occasonal chews and swallows small amounts or spits some out.. Weaned ds at 19 wks and that was 7 yrs ago so feeling a bit like first time mum again. How long after beginning weaning did your lo start to enjoy meals.

We try to be consistent with dd's meals, ie bfast porridge, lunch 1 veg a week and tea 1 fruit a week. When we change it weekly not daily she likes it better and gets used to new tastes Smile

spitting it out is normal - dd (1yo) still does it with particularly solid food (e.g. pepper), bites it off, chews it for a bit and spits it out. She will still be getting used to tastes and textures

how long it takes to start enjoying eating completely depends on the child

she sounds fine and normal
