finger food lunchboxes and lunch ideas

the dts will be starting nursery soon at just 1 year. they are blw and while this isn't solely finger food, I doubt the nursery will have the patience to load a spoon with yoghurt, pass it to them, and play catch once they've eaten. so I need to do a packed lunch and am thinking it needs to be all finger food, eg cheese cubes, salad bits, fruit, breadsticks. they don't do well with sandwiches yet, the bread seems a problem. I ideally would like small food boxes with smaller compartments as storing cut cucumber and cheese together will make the latter go soggy. anyone able to recommend any?

also interested in any inspiring lunch suggestions. they are pescetarian for now, and nursery have a no nuts policy, so until they manage sandwiches (and eventually cutlery) things seem a bit limited.

I am racking my brain now trying to think what DD has when we go out, so heres what I can remember at the moment-

Rice cakes (various toppings)
Cold pasta shapes with various sauces, DD loves pasta with tomato sauce and basil.
Cold toast (may be easier than sandwiches) or cold toasties
Boiled eggs
Cold meats
Sausages
Cold roasted veg
New potatoes
organix snacks (the sweetcorn rings are delicious Wink )

That's all I can think of at the mo Grin
