I am hoping to do half homemade and half jars so i have both options.
I have picked up some cow and gate jars but wondered do you stick with the same brand jars or do you mix them up as i quite like the look of the Heinz ones aswell and not sure if to get some of both??

Very confusing this weaning lark. Glad im prepping in advance as theres so much info out there.

I got allsorts - whatever was on offer. My main aim was to expose dd to as many different tastes and textures as possible. When she got older I went for the Plum pasta sauces and Ella's Kitchen as well as my own stuff

She eat anything now so it seemed to work!

I get whatever is on offer again to get DD trying as many different tastes and textures as poss.

My fave are ellas kitchen as they have no additives in, although they are way too smooth imo. DD was used to some lumps from the start being mainly on home made food so we went straight oncpto stage 2 with ellas and I find even that is too smooth for her at 7.5mo.

Agree with that about Ella's Kitchen - I used it as an inbetween stage iykwim to get dd used to next stage up.

I mostly home cook but keep a couple of pouches in the change bag and at home in case of emergency. I like cooking up some potatoes and mashing or roughly breaking them up and squeezing an ella's kitchen over the top, makes it a bit more substantial!

I like the Organix range best, DS loves their apple and mango rice puddings and blueberry rice cakes. He had the pasta stars with bolognese for dinner last night followed by a banana as we were late getting home and I was too hurried to cook!

I keep a couple in the cupboard for emergencies.

So far, Organix seems to be a winner. At least, I like the taste of them the most! Ella's Kitchen was yummy but had the consistency of thick fruit juice.
