Breast to Formula

I'm at breaking point. My 7 month old refuses to take formula, I have tried Cow & Gate, Aptamil, SMA and Hipp Organic, he just wont have any of it. He can drink from a bottle quite happily and has accepted solids with no problem at all, but he wont give up the breast. I have tried adding just a few drops of formula to my breast milk, first I added just 3 drops as I once made the mistake of adding 1oz of formula to 4oz of breast milk which he refused to drink and I wasted 4 oz of breast milk, which to me is like gold dust! He took the bottle with 3 drops of formula just fine after a few attempts, but when I introduced an extra drop he refused it flat out. So then I though ok lets do one thing at a time and first get him off the breast, so I started expressing like a mad woman and only give him my milk in a bottle, but after a day and a half I just couldn't keep up with the demand and found myself feeling very much deflated.
I know there is no miracle solution out there, but if anyone has had similar problems getting their child to take formula and has some advice I'd really appreciate it.
I'm a single Mum which makes expressing quite difficult as I only have one hand free to entertain my son while he screams for a feed, its just really getting me down, and now he has 3 teeth, 2 at the bottom and 1 at the top with the second top tooth almost breaking through, which is making breastfeeding so painful as he bites down and then pulls himself off.
Is there anything I can add to the formula to help mask the taste slightly so he is more willing to take it? I've read some people have added nesquik, this suggestion isn't any good for me as I don't think thats the right route to go down, I tried Hipp Organic as I was told it has a slight vanilla taste to it, but its not really noticable, if there is anything I can add to it that worked for someone else please let me know.
Thanks

Have you posted this in the bf topic? Might get more responses there. I can't help with any suggestions other than is it essential you get him onto formula? Would it be easier to sort out your bf probs? My DS has 7 teeth now (8mo) and is still bf. There is some info on kellymom about biting. I'm sure someone else will have some helpful advice for you.

Presume you've tried cartons of formula rather than powder? DD was ebf till I weaned then I gradually switched to bottles and formula. She takes SMA cartons very happily but gags when I try SMA powder formula.

I'd try the BF & Feeding forum for more advice, especially about the biting. But some hope - DD only took bottle/formula at about 7.5 months and while she's still not mad about it, will take it. I used the cartons & had most success with Cow & Gate. Could you maybe not give him EBF at all in a bottle? That way, it's formula in a bottle & may be less confusing. Just a thought? The other option is to try formula in a beaker.

Beakers eventually worked for my DD2. We also found that she took cold milk better. She also drinks formula better if she sitting at the table or crawling round and taking drinks herself rather than settling down for a cuddle and a feed. I think for us it is a case of making formula time as different to a BF as poss. That said there were a few weeks of tearing my hair out...she just suddenly 'got it' one day. Good luck.

No personal experience, but I know someone with a similar problem who switched to premixed (ie carton formula) and then to powder.
