My son is 5.5 months old and I'm planning on starting to wean in about 3 weeks. I'm going to make home made vegs etc. In a recipe book I've got, most of the recipes call for say 300ml of formula milk for example.
I've read a lot of forums that say it's ok to use full fat cows milk in cooking, and I've read guidelines say small amounts of milk are ok in cooking, but what's a small amount?!?
Also I'm concerned about what to use as my son still has colic and still possets A LOT! I know you can buy formula specially for colic and reflux etc. But if it's in cooking would it make a difference.
Basically, could anyone advise what kinda milk I should use for cooking, or even if water would be a decent enough substitute, or half water half what milk?!?
As you can see I'm rather confused!!
