Noodle soup - suitable for 6mo?

Made from chicken stock cubes, water and noodles. Thats all the ingredients. MIL wanted to give this to DS but I said no due to salt, SIL agrees that its ok for a baby. Please confirm who is right!

Can't really see the point in encouraging the child to drink what is effectively salty water, not really adding anything to their diet, is it? Eat the noodles, maybe.

I definitely wouldn't. Plain noodles would be nice though. Look on the stock packet to see salt content once made up.

I didnt think they were allowed conventional stock cubes until after 1? As any added salt is bad (and stock cubes are mainly salt)

Too much salt.

Definitely sounds odd. Probably too salty. How would you be getting it into the baby? If you are spoon feeding then it sounds like an odd texture for 6mo, if you are doing the noodles as finger food then what is the point of the soup bit?
