Quick drefrosting query

Ok, I made some lovely little patties as per an Annabel Karmel recipe.

They are made with chicken and apricot and are freezable so my query is, do I need to heat them through before my LO eats them or can they just defrost slowly and then be eaten cold?

Don't want to get this wrong!

Annabel Karmel suggests heating the food until piping hot, to kill any bacteria, then allowing to cool. This can either be done from frozen, or with a purée that has been allowed to defrost slowly.

I batch cooked a load of her recipes for dd, but so far she's not keen! I intend to keep trying though as she has accepted ones she's previously rejected if I leave it for a while.

once defrosted, heat to piping hot and then let cool to eating temperature
