I am trying to find some sort of volunteering that we could do as a family at christmas time. Was thinking along the lines of delivery food parcels? I am in the SW London area but we could drive further if necessary. Any leads gratefully received!

Might be worth asking at your local Churches? Ours do a 'Community Christmas' between all the local Churches - they need people to prep veg, to put up tables and set them, to decorate the room, to fetch the guests to take the guests home again, to serve the dinners to provide the entertainment.

I'd like to do something once a month with my family (two boys, 5 and 3) to give back to our community! Something to teach them about helping people and help them understand how fortunate they are. But I don't want to scare them. We live in West London. Any ideas? Soup Kitchen? Something with other kids would be nice.
