PC gamers?

Anyone else a PC gamer?
I used to play a lot but with having a 7 week old I can no longer do that.
I'm looking for other parents to play games with as you're in the same boat as me with not being able to play a lot!

What!!! that's the easiest time to play they just sleep 20 hours a day! ;)

Online multiplayer while parenting? Hard! I'd recommend getting a Switch or a 3DS, so you can pause instantly and game wherever you're looking after the kid.

20 hours a day, if only!

Hah I agree with @SpoonBlender get some games you can pause! Or arrange a day or 2 a week where your partner can watch baby for a few hours whilst you play and in return offer to watch baby while partner goes to do something they like.

If you like horror survivals: The Forest is really good (on steam)

This is what I am looking for, a few people who would get together once a week and play a few games for a few hours whilst my partner watches the boy.
I've got The Forest, good game.
I'm just missing the interaction that goes along with gaming I guess!

I used to play a lot of competitive overwatch and destiny 2 whilst my kid was sleeping. He's pretty good goes down at 6pm and will sleep till 6am/7am but last time he went through sleep regression I stopped again and started playing GTAV story line and Skyrim again! I miss the online stuff to but people without babies just get annoyed if you have to leave! Grin they don't get it!

Just can't guess with babies! mines 41 weeks almost 10 months old.

Tell me about it. The friends I used to play with (I know them in person) got annoyed when I would go to bed early and not be able to play until the early hours when I was pregnant so they just stopped playing with me haha!

I've just started RDR2 campaign but I'm totally useless with controllers. This is this first time I've used one in a looooong time! And being 32 I'm struggling to pick controller back up again Grin
I was going to wait for it to be released on PC but I couldn't wait any longer.

Also tried ARK mobile and played solo so I can play anytime but it isn't the same.

Yes sounds about right! RDR2 campaign is very good, I actually played that when my kid was about the same age as yours. Still its quite long and you'll miss the social interaction, I always get bored after a while playing those games.

I am playing GTA on Xbox right now to, it's so much easier to pick up but kiddo likes to eat the controller if he's awake and grabs the wires to keyboard, mouse and headset if I am on PC.

Your house sounds like ours, way to many games consoles and pc's haha.

I can dm you my steam name and xbl if you like, unless you're on PSN but not playing much PC at the moment due to kiddo falling in and out of sleep regression.

My Xbox kind of went boom a few months ago now when I was in bed trying to watch twitch haha! Going to replace it very soon fingers crossed.
I'm on PS at the moment until I get my pc back out, put it away when everyone stopped playing with me to make more room. I just use my partners now to play some PUBG now and again.
Yeah send me over your steam ID and I'll add you.

I'm not a pc gamer but my dp is, I can lend him to you if you play World of Warcraft or League of Legends?
He plays a few others but those are the games he plays frequently.

I'm pc and PS4 but I struggle with some online games as I need to be able to pause it or leave it for a few minutes. Just saw the trailer for the last of us 2!

This seems like a quiet little thread, surely there's more of us about? I miss being able to game for hours and hours, so difficult when you have DC - mine are 5 and 7, and I try not to game while they are awake, mostly because they then spend time trying to tell me what to do Grin

I miss gaming for hours on end too but I wouldn't change what I have now for anything!
I was terrible before I got pregnant with how many hours I would game. Game until 3am, sleep until 7am, go to work and then repeat!
There has to be more of us out there but until I find some people I will keep my pc packed away and I will just stick to watching Twitch for now! It's helping with the gaming itch for now. That an my hour here and there on RDR2.

Hi! I'm sure there are more of us lurking! Grin I love Skyrim, Fallout 3/ new Vegas and modding them but haven't played them in ages! I've recently got back into WoW and have finally reached lvl 70 on one of my characters. Anyone else play WoW and want to quest/level?

Report
Danixnope · 09/10/2019 19:19

I've given up on WoW for now unfortunately! Got to 120 and couldn't be bothered after that haha.
I started playing RuneScape again once I reached 120 on WoW but gave that up too recently due to not wanting to pay for the subscription.
Do you play PUBG or anything like that?

I could never get into WoW, I tried but it just didn't catch my attention.

Danixnope · 10/10/2019 13:54

Yeah it took me a while to get in to it if I'm honest. Wasn't really my type of game but a few friends were going a bit crazy on it so I gave it a go.

I'm another PC gamer. I mostly play TF2, played competitive for a bit which was great fun. I'm most definitely one of the older players, and can easily put in a 30 hour week sometimes.
I also play left4dead, but I'm the worst aim ever!

UrghJustUrgh · 10/10/2019 14:08

WoW here.

L4D is a lot of fun. My aim is shocking but I don't really care!
I'm not currently playing on PC at the moment as I packed it away when I was half way through my pregnancy. Will be getting it back out shortly though I think.
I used to play a lot of PUBG, Rust, Ark and Rocket League.

Yes, you have to get the PC back out!

I used to be a console player, then stopped for 15 years or so. My teenager got me playing TF2 about 5 years ago, I totally forgot how much I love gaming.

I don't have any irl gamer friends anymore, they all grew up Grin

I've gone back to console haha I hate it though. I'm too old to learn controller again.
I'm struggling in RDR2 even with aim assist.
TF2 is something I've never played, from what I remember anyway!

Ahaha I had to look that up Danixnope Blush I prefer rpgs/mmorpgs. I am guilty of using a controller with my pc for Skyrim etc :D I wish WoW would was free to play but that will probably never happen!
